Description:

Ceramics in general are relatively brittle with a wide range of thermal and hardness characteristics.

Preparation Challenge:

Proper specimen preparation requires that grinding damage be minimized as early as possible followed by polishing with CMP (chemical mechanical polishing) polishing techniques.
